I need help. Last time, my router keeps restarting for no reason. I got rid of it and replace it with a new router. A D-Link, not sure what's the model name, works great.

 

But now, every few hours it would reject all wireless connection. Anyone have any clues?

Try to access to your modem's interface.

 

And enter your MAC adress in.

 

 

Your modem's configuration was probably deleted when it was restart.

Reset your router and reconfigure it, If problem persists download the latest D-Link firmware for your router model and upgrade it,if still problem persists ask for a refund and buy a better router (Avoid DLink and Prolink) Since those are the most buggiest routers ive ever used..

If you're lucky enough and the router chipset is supported by them you can install a Linux-based firmware which in most cases is infinitely more stable than whatever random stuff router manufacturers put on their routers nowadays.

Cisco routers are very reliable and are expensive compared to other routers. No exception.

Cisco routers are very reliable and are expensive compared to other routers. No exception. Also, because of that, it's a bit more expensive.

I personally own a Cisco-E4200 and ive never had any issues whatsoever..
