Опубликовано:

guys, I seem to be having these weird ass issue while trying to play games ._. as in, I have these two black borders at the sides, oh and this started happening *after* I upgraded my OS to w7
any ideas o:

So, yeah, basically that ^ any idea ?

EDIT: note that this is happening on all games, so I'm assuming it has something to do with DirectX(re-installed it though).

might not be the same....but i get a black border around my whole game if i dont play it on my native resolution....

Don't know why would it happen though, never did on Vista. It's like, the game doesn't go fullscreen ._.

If it only happens in games, change resolution.

If everywhere, the problem might be with your monitor. Try fiddling with the options.

higher res = lag on some games :<

I liked, how I could have any resolution and yet it was still fullscreen, actually.

probably start it up on 640x480 by going through properties or something... :3

As already said, the black borders are caused by setting up not a widescreen resolution.

You can normally fix this within the options built in the monitor and/or if you're connecting your monitor over HDMI or DVI in the graphic drivers. Just search for the "Scaling" option.

Or just choose a widescreen resolution heh.

I know when I install Windows and run any game I have black borders also, but after changing refresh rate to 75Hz (which is max for my monitor), black borders are gone.
