Ok guys, i'm trying to host a private match. I already open my ports.

Ask you'r friend to connect to you via

connect IP

He gets the message: Unable to connect to host!

HELP PLEASE.

If your friends arent using your network then they must connect via the external IP

eg- "connect 112.167.379.101"

 

If this doesnt work then it shouldnbe a issue with your router/windows firewall which could be blocking the ports...

They use FD1 also and I give tham my external Ip but its still doesnt work.

Since its a private match, ports don't matter. Not for me anyway.

Open Run -> cmd -> ipconfig

 

 

Find " IPv4 " And take that ip and give it to your friend!

 

Then your friend use the command in console: connect IP

But, if you can't find a way then use " Hamachi " -> If you don't know how to use it, you can PM me!

Goto Google and search for " hamachi "

If it's for LAN only, then better not install hamachi, or the game might assume hamachi's IP as the LAN IP, and then everyone will have to install hamachi to play on a local network (and by the time I quit using hamachi, a network was only supporting up to 5 members).

A simple "connect" to the IPv4 address should work without problems on a local network.

they do this right /connect IP:PORT , not just connect ip, correct ?

Well, I NEVER put the port to connect to a private match, and I always manage to connect (private match = default port = 28960)

Adding a port on a private match connect command would be like http://fourdeltaone.net:80 (default)

Ok I gave up on private match, can you help me with hamachi?!
