I have a couple of servers and I have them in 3 different separate Linux boxes. Since I'm too lazy to update each and every of those servers' ban lists, I've written a small plugin for my servers to ban a cheater globally from all of my servers.
As an example if you type: ban [cheater's name]
The [cheater's name] will get banned from all of the servers you've already defined in the config file.
The plugin has an online interface too, where you can manage your ban list online (?)
Yesterday I decided to share the code and the plugin with the rest of the community but I realized that maybe this conflicts with ACI, why? -you may ask; it's simple, imagine in a country there are 10 servers only for a player, if all those 10 servers use this plugin, with baring this in mind that not all server owners are mature people, a player can get banned from all those 10 servers in that country by a single server administrator's will, which is quite unfair in my point of view.
Note that it may become more scary than ACI for a cheater to get banned by this plugin (since the ban hammer is on the server owner's hand) but it may give so much power to wrong people to ban players.
So I just wanted to ask for permission form 4d1 staff before releasing this plugin and ask your comments about such a ban mechanism.
