So I've been getting this error.

I'm on Win XP, put the things from Launchcomponents.zip into my MW2 install folder, then run it, let it update and I just get this.

Any idea what's happening?

I deleted the IW4M folder from /application data/ and now whenever I start LaunchIW4M, it downloads everything to the install dir and I get no new IW4M folder/start menu shortcut. It showed the same error before I deleted it and shows it now that I've put it back too.

Wait, could you post a picture of the folder structure in your game directory?

most certainly not! I mean, the clear fake Aero style emulation using older UXTheme, the outdated message box icon and the completely fucked fonts/font rendering/whatever clearly show he's using a non-existent Windows release!

 

also, wow, never knew a localization could make the single word 'at' this horribly long.
