I am thinking of doing it again, on a more informal level, without the complicated website, billing and support software and all those other added expenses. Just rent the box and do the installation for a reasonable price.

 

My question is this: Is there enough of a demand for IW4M servers in Chicago? I can easily include Big Brother Bot (B3), Echelon web interface for B3, XLRStats, FTP access and remote restart via Firedaemon Fusion. Servers would be located on a VPS with dedicated cores, hard drive and memory. The datacenter is the Dupont Fabros Technology CH1 Facility in Elk Grove, IL, just outside of Chicago.

I'd say Chicago is a pretty good place to have a server if you are hosting a US server... It's practically in the middle of the US, should have pretty decent ping...

My ping from NJ (about 25 miles SW of New York City) to Chicago is around 40 - 45.

Well through playing games I have like that much ping to your servers.

So far you're the only that has expressed a real interest. I can't get things set up with one customer unless you were going to set up multiple servers.
