What to do next -> relax.

Why should we consider closing permanentely when we can just take some time off?

Better than no one, a management staff member should know how things are going. You should be aware that Bas is taking most of the work alone, sacrificing his personal life for this project.

He clearly needs a break. Some time off, from time to time.

Although most of our player userbase are morons, the dedicated server hosts feedback is being positive. They understand what Bas is going through with this project, and they understand that he needs some time off. That's why they keep their bet on this project. Although our image might not seem the best, I've setup a few IW4M and IW5M dedis in the UK last week or so, and I'm currently working with some major brazilian server hosts to move more IW4 servers to FourDeltaOne. That proves that they believe in this project.

Let the morons fuck themselves and think whatever they want when they see our homepage. People with a bit of brain know that this project won't stop now.

What this project really needs is that it's structure (us) go out a bit and relax, to regain strength, motivation and cool mood (I'm gonna try to do so this week)

 

Fact is that NTA does nothing else besides this project. How can you take a break from.. "work"? I mean, it isn't really that of an intensive job to take a break from.

 

Uhm, how about just shutting the forum down for a while? You know, to get a break from the shitstorm around here?

what I mean is some sort of a little restart, maybe? (Of course when Bas feels like doing that) Delete all posts, implement TNet and have a sort of new beginning...

 

That would actually lead to a shitstorm including post whores whining about their resetted post count. In any case it is irrelevant to restart. From a management point of view keeping what is created so far would be better so we have a starting point.

 

I completly agree with Paulofonta, I mean, almost, if not everyone here has been through a though time, or even multiple though times in their life(I should know as I too have been through several of those). But you do know, you're not the only one constantly being spammed and constantly answering and helping people around the forums, you know... But Bas should take some time off, like everyone keeps saying for the past month or so.

 

The fact that you are being spammed is a result form your own actions. So you shouldn't whine about that in any way
