Help guys when i update iw5m i get this error[attachment=0]Error%2521 %281%29.jpg[/attachment]

"it is being used by another process"

Is IW5M, the steam version or a server running?

For everyone getting this error:

 

 

Please do the following:

 

1) Create a new folder called 'back' or so in IW5 folder/zone/english

2) Drag every file which is in the /english folder to the 'back' folder you just created

3) Open the IW5 updater.

4) If everything goes right, it should add the new maps now.

5) IW5 is trying to open but crashes after a few seconds. Don't worry!

6) Drag every file of 'back' back to the original folder (IW5 folder/zone/english). If it asks to overwrite, just select no to all.

 

^ This done it for me.

Maybe this'll do the trick for you. I had the same error but it disappeared after one of the updates so I did not test this. Other people have reported this works though.

You'll realize that you'll have less to copy-paste if you just tell people to uncheck the "read-only" attribute from "english" folder.

In this case, applying this simple fix, restarting the computer, deleting all .deco files, and then running the game again will do it.

Do i need to download all the DLC's files before updating or after it ?

Because i haven't downloaded any one of them

That error relates with IW5M updater. It has nothing to do with DLCs

None of the solutions works i tried copy pasting thingi but it didnt work and i use xp sp3

Maybe your anti-virus is messing with the file extraction?

Try disabling your anti-virus for a bit to try.

I tried disableing my anti-virus but still the same error

i think it is because i use xp i need t oupgrade my OS
