No, he didn't insult you because you wanted to edit it - simply because he asked wheter you were you were going to leech that iSnipe copy.

So, theoretically, he never insulted you at all. Unless you consider the method derogatory and when he used it on you, you felt insulted. Also, he added an 'if' statement (not programming related), which I think showed he wasn't going to use it in an insulting way.
