I was able to host in windows 7 without any problem...

But since i installed w8 my server is not showing up in serverlist...

I allowed port range 27000-27050 and 8766 UDP+TCP through windowsfirewall + I added rule for iw5m_server through firewall in inbound and outbound connections!

Now what's the problem?!

You can still connect to it through the console if you set it up correctly ? Even if you don't see it on the server list.

If it used to work with that router, but now it doesn't... maybe your LAN IP changed when you installed windows 8 ? (meaning that you have to change the forwardings IP)

a windows upgrade shouldn't change anything; I bet you did a reinstall which makes it your fault, and not Windows'

Paste what comes up on your server console, maybe then you can get more info and help

server console and all the things are running fine...Last time i installed w7 from w8 preview due to the same problem!

After messing up while conducting some tests up a few days ago, today I had to reinstall windows 8 on that computer (had to delete and rebuild the hard drive partitions)

I installed windows 8, applied all the updates, installed .net Framework 3.5, copied there my IW5M server folder, changed the DMZ host to that computer, and fired up the server, accepting the firewall exception rules creation.

Went back to my computer, launched the game, went to the serverlist, and there it was... even joined the server, just to make sure.

If you can't even connect to it using "connect IP:27015", then you didn't allow windows firewall to create exception rules for iw5m_server.exe

actually...i already had exception for iw5m_server.exe...

But i just tried reinstalling and updating game! Still not working...

EDIT: fixed. It was using the IP of the wrong adapter. +set net_ip on startup fixed it.
