First of, I would like to state that this error has come to me before. lmaobox debugged my .dmp (referenced here: iw4m-3.0-116-20121206172528.dmp) and pointed the issue to some system dll (was it ntdll.dll?), which I promptly replaced and everything was working again.

 

However, this issue has popped up again, and no system files have been actively modified by me (excluding uxtheme.dll, which was patched to allow custom themes, should have no impact on the game, using this program). I'm not sure what the issue is, and I replaced ntdll.dll (if that was the issue, cannot remember), which had the side-effect of causing me a BSOD (which I promptly fixed by getting the right ntdll.dll files from |WZ|ZeRo, who's IW4M is working, and currently as of now, my IW4M stilll ceases to work).

 

EDIT: This error occurs when I select a team when I join a dedicated server.

 

Anyway, I think I've explained enough about what I have actually done regarding the system since the last time the error occured, and I hope one of you guys will have the solution.

Did move this topic, since a re-install fixed it, but issue returned, oddly after I changed graphic settings.

anyway, looks like heap corruption from an iw4m.dll call; don't have symbols for this particular iw4m.dll sadly, but commenting out some line with 'free(' and 'script' in it (in menuloading.cpp?) might fix it (if not that, it seems to occur in the CSV hook, deeply in the google:: stuff, I remember debugging a stack with this mess in it before, but forgot whether it was mine during development or someone elses).

AFAIK his game is crasing when he press at 'Auto-Assign' or at the teamnames when he wants to spawn
