The game could've been better if the development time was longer.

Also: What would you consider as innovative?

Acording to DICE the development time was 3 years or so.

They favored consoles and it still runs like shit on them, because they can't code. LOL.

DICE never favored consoles. It seems more like they're trying to shit on their heads whenever they're given a chance.

Also, it runs like shit on them because it's 7 years old hardware, what were you expecting?

The game could have been better if they included commander mode, battle recorder and mod support which some of the past games had.. this is JUST another shooter for me, nothing special but the graphics.

Give me a list of 5 games which have 2 or more innovative gameplay features. (And add the features)

Doom - Deathmatch and BSP

Quake - True 3D gaming, bots

Half-Life - the SP was advanced through a series of scripted events instead of cut-scenes (honourable mention, then)

Unreal Tournament - perfected DeathMatch forever, perfected bots, created and perfected multi-tiered objective based team games (assault mode)

Portal - anything about the game

Rogue - anything about the game

This.

Battlefield 3 may not be an innovative First Person Shooter, but DICE did many things right with the game.

Battlelog is actually quite useful, if you compare it with the serverlist of BF:BC2 then Battlelog clearly wins the fight in causa usability.

Battlefields ingame UI is simple, clean and usable. I've never seen any critics of BF-players regarding the UI.

Weapons are balanced, gameplay modes are very fun, especially Rush, the maps are quite big and well sophisticated.

The graphics of Battlefield 3 are certainly not the best regarding texture resolution and such but even Crysis 2 can't beat the lightning effects of the Frosbite 2 engine.

It doesn't really matter whether a game is innovative or not.

What really matters in a FPS is that the game is enjoyable, motivating, offers a fluent gameplay experience and the most important part: It has to give you the feeling that you have the situation under control. In every post IW3-release of ATVI's franchise you have the feeling that there isn't any way in the game to get a little bit of control over the game. Spawns are random, many weapons are OP, maps are camper-friendly and small which cause even more spawn-madness, and so on, and so on...

Also, didn't see a single cheater in BF3 and I have the game since the release, unlike COD.
