Ok so this is the same noise related to my other topic(a while ago)

there is this beeping sound(no specific pattern) that i can hear if im next to my pc, but also through my headset with the audio cable plugged in. it seems to be coming from my power supply. i cant remember what brand it is, but its 750W and the fan is pointing up(on the bottom of the case), because i could not mount it with it down. it never did this in my old case when the fan was pointing down.

i have read a few things saying that it could be dust, or its sending out too much power, or not enough, but i doubt thats the problem.

Its plugged into a power strip.

Any one got some ideas?

I have this issue when I use on-motherboard audio, but not when I use my sound card. So yeah, get a sound card. They cost almost nothing.

since you own one.....is there any specs i should look for?

Asus Xonar Phoebus

€100,- sound card with 'gaming' slapped on it to have the ability to raise the price to €150,-.

He's better off with the Xonar DX or D1.
