So whenever i launch a mod it goes black screen then some sound comes up then when i went to the desktop there is this error saying DirectX encounter a problem something like that..

 

Anyone knows the fixes to this?

Try updating DirectX.

Try to play in no-border windowed mode. To achieve press ALT and TAB and then type

vid_xpos 0; vid_ypos 0; vid_restart

in your console.

If changing to windowed mode fails try to set the r_fullscreen value in your config_m2.cfg to 0 manually.

It's in the latest DirectX, ok im gonna try that method.

None of them worked out..

Try cl_modVidRestart 0 or fs_game "mods/modfoldername"
