Here is my present setup:

AMD Phenom II X2 550 @3.10 Ghz

Gigabyte MA74-GMT-S2

XFX ATI Radeon HD 4350

1 500GB Seagate HDD

1 x 2 GB 1333Mhz DDR3 RAM

1 Optical Disk Drive(DVD/CD RW)

4 USB devices on average

Now the problem is when i am in desktop mode the PC runs just fine but when i start playing games i am able to play them for like 15 mins(1 map on average) and then *phoof* the PC shuts down automatically.

Earlier i had a 500W malfunctioning overheating Power supply(frontech) so i replaced it with a 450W Frontech power supply. So do you thing reducing Power by 50 W could be the cause ?

"I had an issue with a frontech psu so I replaced it with a frontech psu"

that's all I got form your post and it's enough.

Well the earlier one came with the case and had overheating problems..... but this one dosent have those problems..... (also i had my Botherboard replaced) since it was in Warranty.... so could that be the problem.. ?

I had a similar problem. I cleaned the dust inside my computer and everything was fine.

And yes i cleaned my PC thouroughly.....(i vaccumed it)

like what they said, that PSU was suspicious.

there's only ~250W(unstable) power that you can get from those "generic 500W PSUs", so think of it how much that 450w same brand replacement can give you. and so did it's +12V rail amperage.

those 4000 series cards are power hogs compared to the new ones that we have to date. you need a clean/continuous 300W of system power at-least to run that card effortless.

get a decent PSU
