Okay, so recently my game has been 'acting up'. Here are what began happening before what's now not letting me play Iw4m.

When I would join a server it'd say "Awaiting connection 1..." (while the white bar loads, it'd of finished at about "Awaiting connection 3...") until it'd reach "Awaiting connection 6..." on the seventh one it'd change to "Setting up game..." then "Waiting for other players" at this point I'd join, after taking 10-15 seconds. Aside from the map loading, I began getting laggy menus, not the main menu, when in-game pressing 'ESC' to get to choose a class and what-not. After this my fps began slowly dropping, from 60+ to about 24, I could handle 24fps as my previous laptop couldn't get 15fps on this game with very low graphic settings. Then, alt+tabbing while the map was loading would give me a DirectX error (encountered an unrecoverable error), so with that happening I used the DirectX updater (As I was told from 'IW4M: Common Fixes/Errors/Questions)

Now, when I attempt to play the game, it opens, then crashes with an error behind the crashed game (Black), alt+tab does not work. The only way to exit the game is to Ctrl+Alt+Del.

 

OH, and I forgot to mention, this was after I had attempted to remove an intervention texture mod by downloading iw_07.iwd & iw_11.iwd from the dropbox repository.

 

So this is my problem at the minute, hopefully I don't have to re-download as I deleted the installer (from recycle bin too) when it had completed the installation... to save disk space.

Thanks for the reply @yolarrydabomb, I fixed it.

From me attempting to remove the intervention texture mod I had forgot to place iw_11.iwd in the file.

By personally going to my games config file, I turned fullscreen off and was able to see the error saying it couldn't find ~Ak-47 something. I then checked my main folder and realized I didn't have a iw_11.iwd file, so I downloaded it, for the third time and placed it in the files. Now it seems to work.

However, another kind of weird thing is that my scoping seems to be a lot slower... (even with Sleight of Hand).

Me and my friend went into a private lobby stood next to eachother, same class and perks. He could aim and shoot twice, before I had even aimed o.o

Is there a trick to aim faster or is he hacking/trolling me? o.O

Maybe you haven't unlocked Pro version of the perk yet

Nope, I had the pro version.

Seeing as though this thread is asking for help, there has been another major problem with the update.

Try deleting everything you have in m2demo, raw, devraw folders in game directory and iw4m client directory ( %localappdata%/iw4m ), delete caches.xml in localappdata and launch the updater again

I don't have a %localappdata%/iw4m?
