I have win7 n win8... My server is visible in list when i start it from win7, but when i use win8, the server is neither in the list, nor i could connect to it from IP/port..

I tested hosting an IW5M server on a windows 8 machine, without issues.

So, either you didn't allow iw5m_server.exe on windows firewall, or there's some other firewall blocking it on that computer.

Disable all your firewalls for a bit, just for testing.

Maybe... if his internet connection is recognized as multiple adapters, like yours is.

Although you're the only case I ever seen of a single internet connection creating 2 network adapters.
