Hopefully this will help people out if they want to change specific things about a weapon. I've only tested grenades, disabling the cooking of them. I also made throwing knives clip 5, but it seemed to crash the server when the map changed (didn't make people download it though).

you can just dump them yourself by using the "--dump" flag. Although back up your maps too because it will overwrite the map d3dbsp.ents files.

I uploaded this to help people. I have no clue about d3dbsp.ent files although I'd like to try and add my own spawns to maps because maps like gulag have awful spawns.

EDIT: Quick question, if I were to add these to a mod's IWD file, what directory would I list it under? Just "mp"? or "maps/mp"? Thanks

I wouldn't advise putting them in an iwd though. I'd put them in your server/client's m2demo/weapons/mp/

 

but it should still work in an iwd.

If you want modified weapons then you need them in an iwd that is loaded as a mod so it is downloaded by the client or only the server will have the modified files.

iw4m.exe (not the launcher but the actual game exe for those who use the new installer)

I'm only thinking of doing this in a private match server in my old AlterIWNet client, so I assume loading it in an .iwd would work, judging from what you guys have said then?
