Anyone else REALLY excited about this announcement? It's been far too long since a good Thief game.

I hope it doesn't become dishonored 2: Electric Bogaloo but rather have it's own qualities. Not much to add since it's been ages I last played a thief game and plus too broke to use GOG.

Agreed, one of the first games I ever remember really enjoying was the gold edition of Thief 1. It was also insanely hard to play at that age, but nothing has come close to beating the atmosphere they provided.

It's not the same type of free roam as AC is, previous titles were mostly split into separate levels but you could take all sorts of different routes and tactics to get to the end. Given the name of the series, basically every mission had you stealing some sort of specific item but the way in which you went about that was up to you.

 

Dishonoured has already been mentioned and rightly so, it played much like the old Thief games and was a nice throwback to that era. Heres hoping they can pull it off now, if ever theres an IP NOT to mess up it's this one.

Well its been way to long. Lets hope the waiting time will pay off.
