Hi members,

 

Anyone mind to give me a dedicated server files for 4D1? I tried aIW dedicated server but obviously it wont work. I even tried SKIDROW rip version of mw2 to make a dedicated server but fail too. I appreciate if anyone could hand me the dedicated server files or tutorial where to download/set it up.

 

I tried to use this tutorial here http://fourdeltaone.net/viewtopic.php?t=3698 but the problem is I dont have a legit version of MW2,therefore I could not get the files from steam folder.I'm hosting this dedicated server just for the good of community of 4D1.

Add -dedicated to the startup parameter on a 4D1 installation.

Im kindda confuse, which one is the 4D1 installation, Is it from

 

C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Modern Warfare 2

or

C:\Users\Razer\AppData\Local\IW4M

As I said above on my first post, I tried that tutorial and it did not work. As I don't have legit version of Modern Warfare 2 (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\call of duty modern warfare 2).

 

Any idea how to proceed with this ? :roll:

Or sorry, I thought you tried to use NTA's dedicated server update tool, but it didn't work.

 

 

Follow the guide mentioned above, just use whatever location your 4D1 installation is on instead of the one used in the tutorial.

Thanks for your reply. So which directory I should use, A or B ?. Actually I tried before using the tutorial on both the directory and it seem not to work. By the way I'll just give it a try again and post the error here..

And also my last question, where do I place my config file for the server.cfg? Should it be placed under %localappdata%\iw4m\m2demo?

You might also have to copy the game folder, and the launcher might ask for the game folder the first time it starts.

Ok, im also on a no-legit version, did all of ur tips but when i try to join my local ip, i have :

 

Asking if another party has room for 1 players at time 38928

Connect timeout after 1001ms (realtime is 39929)

Asking if another party has room for 1 players at time 39929

Connect timeout after 1001ms (realtime is 40930)

Asking if another party has room for 1 players at time 40931

Connect timeout after 1001ms (realtime is 41932)

Asking if another party has room for 1 players at time 41933

 

Any Ideas ? :S
