Hi,

 

I've got a problem with BF3. I bought the game and when I want to play it, it just doesn't work. Sometimes I get 70 fps, which is good, but sometimes (actually, pretty frequently) the game stutters and I literally have 0 fps for a second or two. This happens so often, that the game is not playable anymore.

This also happens when the settings are set to low.

 

My system specs:

 

Intel Quad core Q6600, overclocked to 3.4 GHz

4 GB RAM DDR2

AMD Radeon HD 5870

 

Could any of you guys help me?

Which browser u use?? Stop all the unnecessary program which suck ur net.

I use both Firefox and Chrome, and I've got the problem with both browsers. I've got a decent internet connection, so I don't think that's the problem.

FPS is mostly caused by your video settings.

Here are some things to check/try:

- Make sure you have the latest update for your video drivers

- Goof around with your video settings ingame to stabilize your FPS

- Turn off any programs you do not use

 

I'm running on:

Intel i7 920 Quad Core

6GB RAM

2x NVIDIA GeForce 260 GTX (SLI)

 

And I still need to lower my video settings a lot to make BF3 playable.

Does the lag occur in singleplayer/coop/multiplayer ?

Singleplayer lags like f*ck for me but multiplayer on gigantic maps works just fine

Btw, you should try smartclose to close all the shit opened on your pc

On my old graphics card, battlefield lagged like hell... It lagged so bad I brought my KD down to like 2000k/4000d

And now raising my KD is hard, increasing like 0.01/day

What do you have your settings at... Post a picture of your CCC like this as a attatchment if you wish. If your's differ change them to these.

 

Edit: Also what version of the driver are you using i think the lastest is 12.2 but im using 12.1's atm if yours are lower post here and ill tell you where to go from there

The lag only appears in MP, I can play the SP on ultra without any problems.

 

I changed the values of my CCC to yours, Blewk. I'll post here if it works

Oh, CCC version 12.3 is the version I'm using, seems to be the latest.

I still have framedrops every now and then, but at least the game is playable
