Just curious, is there a way to create your own dvar that alters for everyone? Like gravity, when changed it applies to everyone? If not that's okay, but how would I go about making a variable that is the same for everyone, E.G if it is doubled for everyone, it is doubled for everyone in the lobby?

Use a combination of getdvar/setclientdvar from script.

Okay, so I'm not that clever at understanding.

so you mean if I do something like

foreach( player in level.players )
{
player setClientDvar( "mydvar", 1 );
}

That would work? and just use getDvar to obtain it? Or is it simpler then that? (:

I do not understand what you ask.

Gravity (g_gravity) is a server-side dvar, therefore changes apply to all players. In GSC you use the function setDvar to change a server dvar. Client-side dvars can differ for every client and their value only apply to the client (ex. cg_fov). You call setClientDvar() on a player entity to modify a client-side dvar.

It's possible to get the value of a server-side dvar (getDvar()), however it's not possible to get the value of a clientdvar.

So how can I make a server dvar? :3 Slightly confused.
