I have dxtory and I just want to record demos b/c they are better quality.

Your demo is corrupted. Perhaps you played on servers with a green * ?

You get the lost connection to host message right?

DXTory is the best free software out there. None of us are going to do any better than that, so your best bet is to do it yourself.

DXtory causes black screen though when changing resolutions.
