But what could be possibly be the downside of releasing the mod tools? the community would love DICE and the game would improve. Some games got big with modding so why not? They could even make modded servers unranked or something.

If they would release mod tools for bf3,there would be custom guns,maps,vehicles, etc. So they wouldn't get any money from dlc's because somebody could convert it to a mod and everyone would play for free.

Maybe they will release mod tools some time after release of last dlc, but i don't think so.

Even Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis(aka the first ARMA) has bigger maps than BF3. You will never see maps as large as they were in Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis in BF3

I don't know man but Operation Flashpoint 1 and the ARMA series were really popular... So you say simulators will never work? The Flight Simulator series were extremly popular and had a lot of fans (including me) and yes this argument is rational.

i have to buy new computer only in arma 3.... BF3 high still run smooth with 50fps...unlike ArmA 2 low 13fps...

You know why? ArmA 2 has one HUGE map like meh peniz and alot of AI which takes alot of cpu power. BF3 Doesn't got as much AI and got multiple maps.
