Origin due to the fact it doesnt harness some shit anticheat that lets players play for up to 1 week after being flaged as hacking... But them steam due to the fact of Origin not selling anything other than EA games... They dont compete Origins a platform for EA games. steam is a Rip off merchant trying to get a quick buck

You really can't compare them because Origin and Steam aren't alternatives for each other. Neither sells what the other one sells and they both have different features.

Not completely true. Steam sells the old Battlefields, besides BF3, and whole host of other EA produced games. Granted, the newest ones are not necessarily sold on Steam, but that's because Steam doesn't want to bend to EA's will (which I'm sure they're a bit furious about).

90% of the games I had interest in lately, are on Origin (BF3, B:AC, SR:TT, NfS:TR...), and it's becoming much bigger market place now, when not only EA games are there.

Interface is nicer, not as annoying as Steam, downloads seem faster, and ingame Web browser is awesome between BF3 rounds

That is 90% lately. What about 90% beforehand? When not only EA games are there, that usually means you can generally buy them someplace else. How is Steam any less annoying than Origin? Download speeds depend on where you're at. I usually have a 1.4mb/s download rate. I wouldn't say that's bad. Origin is about the same. Ingame web browser... have you EVER pressed shift + tab while playing ANY game through steam? Web's right there. And I can chat to my friends right in-game. And BF3's web-based setup sucks. Why not open the game? Oh, that's right, we don't want people pirating it so we made it all web-based... and it still got pirated. EA does nothing to convenience the customer anymore. I'm not surprised they were voted worst company in America. Origin is their brainchild that they force you to use. Steam is like a bonus to my games. I actually enjoy playing games that I like through steam because of the versatility that steam offers through the simple shortcut, shift + tab. Try again, mate. This goes to Steam, all the way.

Steam because... I've been using it for years without any problems (except that one time steam support refused to reset my password).

Mostly because I enjoy playing HL2 Mods and... well steam is just great for that. I installed Desura as well but honestly I haven't even touched it. What I don't like about Steam its the IExplorer browser.

I think steam is better so far because it has existed for a much longer time.

What the fuck does it have to do with anything? Longevity is only a test of whether you can keep your community together, not the quality of the provider itself.

Steam and VAC and two completely different things; not everything sold on Steam uses VAC.

To stay on topic, I prefer Steam. The steam client is much more stable (in comparison to origin) and it obviously has a better selection of games.

Yeah But Once your vac banned will you ever use steam again on that account? No not really due to the fact all your multiplayer games are disabled ._. Get rid of the middleman (Flagging) and im all for it

The idea is to not get banned in the first place... Not to mention, it does NOT ban all of your multiplayer games, only the ones that you specifically violated, unless, of course, your motto is "All or nothing!"

Voted for Steam even though they're not comparable... From what i know Origin is a Steam with only EA's products, much less users, less "community" air, no achievements and an program that most people will execute only to launch games

My vote goes to Steam for the tons of games that I love, and, for the Support that doesn't answer me with computer-generated dialogues (sent 3 e-mails to EA's about regional dedicated servers and I got some random answers)

You cant compare them... Origin lacks the extensive library of games that are on Steam. Also lacks feature like game invite through the chat window.

Obviously Steam. More features... more polished than Origin which is a poor attemp of developing a Store/Game platform.
