Hello, thanks for checking this server out.

 

We're [eG], or Echo Gaming, and you might recognize us from the aIW days. We used to be known as [h1] for a while, but switched to [eG] in September of 2011.

 

We used to host a ton of servers, usually having a separate server for each map. Highrise and iSnipe used to be our most popular servers, so that's what we have up at the moment. We're working on getting more.

 

The server is hosted on a premium internet connection on dedicated, powerful hardware. In short, there should be absolutely no lag unless you live geographically far away. The server is hosted in New Jersey, so anyone on the East Coast should get a pretty attractive ping.

 

We take advantage of b3 and XLRstats to offer a good player experience. To see what admins are online, wait for b3 to tell you. If none are online and you need to report a cheater/need assistance, poke someone in TeamSpeak and they'll help you out.

 

 

To connect, find it in the server list, or paste the following into your game console:

 

/connect mw2.echo-gaming.net:28961

 

Don't use the IP that's shown in GameTracker, as it may be outdated sometimes.

 

We don't have too many rules, but here is a cursory list:

 

- Obviously, don't use cheats/hacks. Textures, wallhacks, aimbots.. yeah, you get the point.

- Be polite to players and especially admins. If you piss them off, they're allowed to ban you.

- Don't make constant hackusations or complain about camping/perks

- Don't use the GL (grenade launcher) or thumper

If you're interested in joining the ranks of [eG], see this thread. We also offer an "offline mode" minecraft server and occasionally play BF2. We're not one of those communities where you have to "try out," we just like having fun and couldn't care less how good you are. If you like playing on the server, it's worth checking out.
