Archers are fucked against cavalry. British archers on the other hand, provide for extreme trolling against mounted units by putting forward their stakes. If used properly, even a peasant archer division can kill the best knights you can imagine. When put in a box, the cavalry can't do shit and try to find a way in, usually ending in them charging at the archers and getting raped, even if they don't, the archers continuously rape with arrows leading to ultimate lulz if the enemy is using an only cavalry army, or an army incapable of attacking from a distance.
