Vista is a trainwreck, plain and simple. Win7 and XP are the Windows OS's that I've had decent experiences on.

This is coming from someone typing on a MacBook Pro, however, so take my advice with however many grains of salt as you see fit. I will say that Win7 is a much better experience than Vista.

Fair enough, I won't use vista. Anyway, I just want something that is lightweight, something that doesn't use a lot of processes, you know? Only things I need is a Download manager, mozilla firefox, and some games (I got those ofc lol). That's it, just something with almost little to none running, y'know?

Try Windows 8 Release Preview (WTF do they keep changing the name... Developer>Consumer>Release>._.) Its lightweight and quite portable, uses less processes and can run on 1gb of ram.

Yeah that's exactly what I was thinking, I think I'll download it now, and also can I run W7 apps and games on W8?
