This is a very annoying issue that started today. When I am in the game for like 5 minutes, the game closes and says "IM4MP.dat has stopped working" and is shows an error box, but there is no writing in the error box, it is empty.....So I can't figure out what error message i'm getting.

happens to me too. i saw somewhere that you're supposed to delete all of you mods but idk how to. i run the game from the updater, and i havent found where the mods are stored.

First of all, are you sure that the dat file is called iw4mP.dat and not iw4m.dat?

Make sure you have Microsoft Visual C++ install (vcredist_x86.exe)

Make sure you DEP is set to essential windows programs and services only

 

delete m2demo folder, cache.xml and run LaunchIW4M.exe

Try going into Task Manager and right clicking on it and setting the priority to something other than whats its on. For example if its on normal but it to Above normal.

I used windows xp service pack 3 compability mode and ran as administrator, I didn't get an error.
