So yeah, when I try run 4D1, I keep getting that error... T>T
I checked pretty much all the things (advice I can find in the forums at least), including deleting .iwd files etc and I have properly (hopefully) installed the installer aswell.
So I don't know whats wrong, anyone give me heads up on a possible solution to this?
Although this is my first post, I've followed and played MW2 in Alteriwnet's primetime till it's death... My name in the game was 'Shuya' if anyone remembers
EDIT: FIXED
So I somehow got 4D1 to work today... Though I don't think that this is a foul-proof solution but give it a try.
1. Download Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 (Don't pirate *cough*)
2. Install VS 2010
3. Download free XNA Game Studio 4.0 from Microsoft support.
4. Install XNAGS 4.0
5. Hopefully, this may solve it for you, if not, continue reading.
Once installed -
5. Run iw4mp.exe (It will crash again with 'iw4mp.exe has stopped working' as usual, but don't worry).
6. Once game crashes, wait until the Windows Solution window has stopped processing.
7. Once it finishes, you will see a new 'Debug' option next to 'Cancel'.
8. Click 'Debug' and choose VS2010 as the debugger.
9. *Note* The first time you run VS2010 debug, it may fail to open (it happened to me) just redo from step 5.
10. Once 'Debug' has started, VS2010 will open and another error message will open within VS2010, just click 'Continue' and MW2 will restart by itself.
Now the problem is, this debug does not solve future crashes, every time I open 4D1, I have to debug it. Unless I or someone else can find a solution to automatically debug everytime iw4mp.exe is executed, I think this is the only solution atm.
