Honestly this is getting out of hand. Votekicks and votebans just ruin my experience on 4d1 and 7 year old kids that just started the game believing better players cheat is just stupid. I keep getting kicked/banned off servers because there are no admins in and the stupid players just do whatever they want.

I kept getting accused by some other players the other day, and I votekicked them because I couldn't just wait until they do it, and they got kicked, in the end they ended up saying I use "VOTEHACK" aswell. What - the - hell.

Find a solution, there is only one way to describe this and its terrible.

Yes, I agree with this, only the admins should be able to kick or ban, and I was also present in the "votehack" incident.

I thought it was optional, don't own a server so i don't really know.

You can disable the votekick in the server.cfg afaik. If ofcourse you own the server.

You can't really blame them for being paranoid, I just got out of a server with 3 people obviously aimbotting and some other people probably cheating too, though I'm not gonna be the judge of that.

 

Not that admins are any better at times...different game, but the rules still apply. Admins can be as much of a bunch of children as the players who populate their servers.

I'm also getting called a hacker from time to time, just play on a server where votekick/ban is disabled, take it as a compliment and let the kiddys cry.

You should go to the servers forums or website and ask them kindly to disable the feature, as most server owners are unaware of the fact that there even is such a command. For instance I am in a server with 3 admins on. And suddenly a start a votekick for a hacker. The admins think im an xuid spoofer taking their admin powers and using the votekick command in B3. And, like I said before, most of them are clueless on it.

ToolBox can back me up here, we were playing some Rush, I was on something slightly above average like 28/5, then all of a sudden, 4 people votekick me.

 

I don't like to moan, but I genuinely find this an issue every time I play MW2. I've spent over 60 days playing MW2 in total, so it's very easy for me to know where everyone is spawning on any map, because spawn systems are predictable. But it's getting me kicked almost every game.

You are basically saying that having an admin on server will help anything. Well, not really. Today I encountered an admin that kicked every single player that killed him. I told him that isn't fair, after which I received a kick. I rejoined the server and played silently, untill I killed him and he kicked me again. On the next join I told him I was staff, and that kind of behaviour is NOT okay, after which he insulted me. I gave him a warning, and he insulted more, and eventually banned me. So, I gave him 24 hour "vacation" from the game, because that's what my warning was about.

 

All this time my thinking was "it's his server, he can do whatever he wants", but I changed my mind. There should also be rules for server admins, he should atleast have a slight respect for his players. Yes, I temporarily banned him, and you can say it's unjustified because it's his server, but this is becoming too common recently. Well, his ban isn't unjustified, disrespecting staff this way, along with any other members is unacceptable.

 

So, yeah, we definitely need to take another approach to kicking/banning people from the game, it's a shame some people have no manners, and can't judge fairly,instead judge only for their own good. "Oh, I'm the second best player, let's votekick first!"

There was no time for that, he banned me from his server as soon as I told him I'm staff. Well, he did make a great deal of insults in little time between that and ban.

Anyway, I hope he learned his lesson, his server is the only low ping populated TDM server for me, and I intend to have some quality time there if he stops acting like a kiddo.

This votekick/voteban needs a change, a compromise between kicking cheaters and letting good players play.Good thing i currenly don't play mw2,because i would get really pissed off.

I remember, back in aiw days, a server called directgamehosting tdm hc - i didn't had any admins.I used to play on it everyday,getting beautiful stats,nukes and accuses of hacking.

You are the kind of Admins that I like to cause problems, because I think you do a lot of host abuse because you don't like to lose, as I'm a troller my job is to troll people and servers, using my favourite weapons (if they are not blocked) GL, G18 akimbo and UMP45, and my favourite trooling killstreak the Tactical Nuke, also I troll a lot on the chat, but basically I hate Admins like you, the thing is if you are a great Admin you must use the same weapons of the guy that you dont like, and teach him a lesson.
