Hello guys this is my first post here. I just downloaded the installer for IW4M and my Norton says the file "9cbm4.tmp" is a heuristic file and that the detection of the threat was based on Malware heuristics. Should I ignore this and restore the file?

Hello guys this is my first post here. I just downloaded the installer for IW4M and my Norton says the file "9cbm4.tmp" is a heuristic file and that the detection of the threat was based on Malware heuristics. Should I ignore this and restore the file?

 

Probably a false positive.

If you downloaded it from here then it's clean.

Just run it anyway, ignore Norton. If you downloaded it from this website then its probably real. I have it and so do thousands others.

Well, I had to unninstall AVG from several computers because they kept getting false positives either in aIW old times, and now with 4D1 files.

It's a fact that most anti-virus report too many false positives...

Right now I'm using avast, with auto-sandbox disabled. And it doesn't bug me with false positives.

anyone Tried Avast?

I don't use any antivirus sh** and I just got 1 virus (it blocked everything but I removed it 10 minutes later).

If you're stupid then you'll get plenty of viruses.

You just have to run brain.exe

This is so fun dude, how many times I'm reading a post, and saw something that I don't like, and that had to be posted by you, its always the same thing LOOOL, I already told you that.

 

For me the best antivirus is AVG, I use AVG since his seventh version (Internet Security version RULEZ) and I never had problems, but when I have to make a low spec computer I just use NOD32 or ESET Smart Security.

Ok guys I didn't mean to start an antivirus war but I will just disable Norton for the download. Thanks for the help
