I don't know if this has been asked, (search told me not to use all that :? ) I was looking at the contents of my MW3 folder and realised that IW used the same naming convention when they made the new maps.

 

So I was wondering if anyone has tried to port them over to MW2?

Lockdown and Fallen are my favs there.

 

Was also wondering the same thing about COD4 - I have seen highrise in COD4 as a mod, but not the other way around (other than the maps already in the DLC).

Would be nice to have Winter Crash in MW2 lol

there was another topic about this and yes NTAuthority tired to do MW3 maps but can never get it to load.

The reason for that is the existence of mod tools for cod4.

As WE know Yes it's possible because its based on same engine (just upgraded).

Im thinking now what is harder port IW5(mw3) map to IW4(mw2) OR port IW3(cod4) map to IW4(mw2).

As we can see in mw2 fastfiles are some cod4 weapons, and in mw3 fastfiles are some mw2 weapons and rangers viewhand/player model which seen in The Negotiator trailer and surrival bug...

I hope people who have some knowledge will do this... And i have question for those who tried to port DOME.

Is it possible to port IW5 weapons to IW4?? , is it harder or easier then port a map?? I need opinions.

Wasn't Term working on the structs for this? Since now he is a member of the team couldn't he finish that? His excuse for not finishing was because of his other projects.

Why isn't this locked yet? Anyway it is practically possible but will take A LOT of work. Won't be coming out in like a day.. maybe it will never even come out. And yes Term was working on this, might want to ask him Apadayo.
