I only want to say, that i miss the old matchmaking from the alterIWnet.

Cause on the deticated servers, you can change the time limit and score limit. and i want to record some normal gameplays. you know, these 5-10min gameplays with the 7500 points score limit.

 

What do you think about it and would you like to see the matchmaking coming back? I hope so.

 

And sorry for my bad english. I life in germany.

As said before, we can't because that would get the whole project in trouble.

It would be emulating a service which is already offered by IW.

We can't and will not ever be bringing this feature back.

This is the most annoying feature in MW2. In matchmaking everybody can play as he wants (camp, tube, G18 spray). Matchmaking in MW2 doesn't offer votekick feature at all (=cheaters play with no penalty). Why in other games it is possible to give votekick, but in MW2 not?? And last thing - matchmaking was made for consoles, and it should stay on consoles. Because it works better on consoles. But still I wonder why there is no option to have dedicated servers in console versions of CoD. Why it is possible in BF, Homefront?

 

And advice to you - if you want to play fast games then play on rechyyy's servers. For example point limit on "Team deathmatch by rechyyy" is 10 000 (=100 kills for a team=Ground war in original MW2).

Will maybe a function like "Auto-Join" be implemented?

That you will join - after clicking this button - the server with low ping and not emtpy and so on?

Couldnt you just make some Deticated Servers with standart rules?

And a filter where you can disable the deticated servers with changed score limits or changed timelimits?

So we can get our normal gameplays without this whole matchmaking thing.

Ask server owners to make these sorts of dedicated servers. fourDeltaOne itself do not run MW2 dedicated servers, just merely provide the function to.

If matchmaking won't be making a comeback, at the very least let us lobby up and all join the same dedicated server together on the same team. I hate dedicated servers because teamplay is near impossible. Our clan uses TS so now we all join a server and we can never be on the same team thus rendering TS useless. Everyone plays solo with no communications. I know that its better to divide the team up instead of playing 5 on 1 but when there is enough players preference should be given to keep teammates together on the same team. In p2p matchmaking we didn't have this problem. There has to be a way to emulate this with dedicated servers.

And this is the worst problem cause in alteriw and 4D1 you got the demo recording thing and in the normal mw2 you dont got these options and its easier to get gameplays when you dont notice that you record.

I hope you could bring matchmaking back like in the old alteriw times.

You just need to change the name of the matchmaking system, change the names of the game modes and the searching system.

Search and Destroy= SnD

and names like this. So its no more IW's Matchmaking system.

And you can change the kind of searching system. You can make it like you search for people not for lobbys. So if someone searches TDM he didn't get into a lobby, he just finds someone and when they got enough players the round starts automatic. So its no more IW's Matchmaking System.

It still is matchmaking and it has the same principles as matchmaking, but if you like matchmaking, why don't you just go and play it trough steam?

Right now we can't play on steam, its broke now the last 3 weeks since the last steam update. I took the time to check 4d1 out and it was fun for a day or 2 but now I find I'm longing for some good teamplay but that's kinda dead here. The continuous mixing of clan members makes it difficult to use TS. Funny IW doesn't want you to emulate the matchmaking but doesn't care if you use dedicated servers.

For the last time; We can't implement matchmaking as we aren't allowed to emulate any IW-services.

Changing names isn't a solution, as it would still be exactly the same as what the 'official' mw2 offers.

 

If you want matchmaking so badly, go play on steam.

If you want a server with "standard rules", you can always make one yourself.
