Everytime I open the game it works for a few seconds, then it crashes and this message appears.

I googled but haven't seen anyone else with the problem so I assume its a bug/glitch with IW5M, I have no idea.

 

Anyone have any ideas?

Don't update the game with the latest Steam files, clearly.

You updated the Game... bad for you... currently not working. Had the same error, But I made a backup 2 days ago...

Steam decided to update the server files by itself then I suppose..

I do have a back up on a external hard drive.

omg wat i do i have the same problem and when i run teknogods its sucks

Just delete caches.xml before you launch the game next time and the problem will be solved.
