Heya,

I've been watching this guy called Bobbya1984's MW3 commentary play, which is probably on XBOX360, and he's getting a 20+ kill count and a less than 3 death count every stinking game. He does pretty much what I do (run, iron sight on cover spots, move fast and shoot etc.) and his aim isn't very good. But he's called a CODBeast by IGN. I'm just wondering how this is possible, because I play MW2 and pretty much everyone plays with equivalent skill as this guy. It seems like people die with 1-3 shots in MW3 while it takes about 3-7 shots for MW2. Maybe this is a skill difference between PC and console skill? I'm pretty sure that if I played on my PC with this Bobbya1984 guy that I could do around as well as he does. And I get killed most times around 5 deaths per game on PC. Are console players really that bad?

Well, to actually answer... yes, there is a huge difference between PC and Console CoD. Firstly, Console players tend to be much more laid back and, well, worse. Also, the nature of the XBOX controller makes it hard to aim quickly and precisely, whereas a mouse is very fast and accurate. And lastly, most PC players have a fast rig with good net, which means less lag.

This.

Also there are much more casuals on consoles, than on PC, just because it's mainstream.

and you dont have to know what parts to put into a console to be able to play all the current games...

some games make sense on a controller, fps doesn't. like those above me said: casuals + aim assist + inherently hard to aim thumbs-ticks + poor game configurability > high amounts of dead noobs
