Hey guys, I just downloaded a version of MW3 (from torrent) so I don't have Steam, so when I try to enter the game it gives me an error saying that I need Steam. Is there any way I can play without it?

Or you just create a folder called dw in your MW3 folder :3

Close steam, it worked for me anyways.

I DON'T have Steam. But I've learned the "dw" bypass... but I still get an error wich I can't see because the game freezes when I open the game... I have NET Framework 4.0 and Windows XP. If anybody with more experience could help me out would be great.

 

The steps I did:

 

-Downloaded MW3 and installed.

-Downloaded the IW5M client and added the content to game folder

-Downloaded DLC and added to /main and /zone folders

-Tried to delete the cache as well.

Did you download the Reloaded version?

If you did, try to re-install it and update it with IW5M, I noticed that you get this error sometimes when you update your MW3 with steam.

You only need a dw folder, listen to the Asian muffin.

It's a Repack version, I've just installed it less than 3 hours ago, and I didn't do any Steam update. It did some update by itself as soon as I opened IW5M. The SP works just fine tho

The SP SHOULDN'T work. Delete caches.xml and start LaunchIW5M.exe and let it update, should work.

No need to delete that. Just go to the game folder and create a new folder named dw
