I have an old anti-noob mod (I have the files and everything)

However I am not the author off said mod. I am looking for someone to help me move the mod over to the new mod platform

I need the mod to load on all the servers we have

It was an auto-loading mod in the first place and would like it to stay that way :D

If you have any interest with working to get this mod working for me (I will release the mod open to everyone to use again) I would be very appreciative :)

If there is already a mod, could someone post details please?

If you're the author of this mod, then I'll be more than happy to remove this post and work with you to help make the mod work again :D

The mod used to have to be placed in the main folder to be loaded automatically

This doesn't happen any more

I meant the new way of loading mods, just didn't think of the right way to phrase it

my bad

You put the .gsc files in your 'mods' folder... If you dont see it, (most likely to happen if you did a clean install of IW4M) then make a folder. IW4M will automatically load it. (as of r22).

So I take the file, throw it in mods, update to r22 and it should work, right?

You can also just put the mod's .iwd file and put it in the m2demo folder and that works too.

Yeah, that works

I put it in main and it didn't work

Putting it in m2demo works :D

Thanks guys!

Problem solved

if you put a .gsc files in mods, main, or raw (or whatever) it will only work if it has an init(). Files like _damage etc dont have those (callbacks), so if you put all the files (all the .gsc's) from your .iwd file in main or raw; it's not gonna work.

What are you talking about? If you're talking about the new script loading feature, then yes, you have to define the init thread. If not, no, you don't have to.

Well yeah, that's what I said ... If you don't use the new loading feature (and if you want to change files like _damage.gsc), it has to be an .iwd file. (Wrote the previous post half-drunk, so if it was a bit misleading, sorry :P)
