Time between Maps

Featured Replies

Yes, there is.

I've edited the _gamelogic.gsc so that you can set the scr_intermission_time dvar in your server.cfg.

If you don't want any intermission time add this to your server.cfg:

set scr_intermission_time "0.0"

The default value is 30.0 (seconds). Feel free to adjust the dvar to your likings.

Please report back if it works properly. ;)

what, you don't even need to edit the script file

Hmm, the stock one looks like this for me (in m2demo/maps/mp/gametypes/ folder):

	if (!matchmakingGame())
{
	foreach (player in level.players)
	{
		player openPopupMenu("popup_summary");
	}
	setDvar( "scr_intermission_time", 30.0 );

	thread timeLimitClock_Intermission( getDvarFloat( "scr_intermission_time" ) );
	wait getDvarFloat( "scr_intermission_time" );
}

Wouldn't the setDvar( "scr_intermission_time", 30.0 ); 'overwrite/reset' the dvar to 30, if you set it to something else in the server.cfg?

Well, that's what i thought...so i changed that part to:

	if (!matchmakingGame())
{
setDvarIfUninitialized( "scr_intermission_time", 30.0 );

	if(	getDvarFloat( "scr_intermission_time" ) > 0.0 )
	{
		foreach (player in level.players)
		{
			player openPopupMenu("popup_summary");
		}

		thread timeLimitClock_Intermission( getDvarFloat( "scr_intermission_time" ) );
		wait getDvarFloat( "scr_intermission_time" );
	}
}

Banz is right. I changed my intermission dvar and it never changed the actual intermission time. Recently I was looking in _gamelogic.gsc and saw that and realized why it had been happening.
