I was on teknogods my fps is 90(Resolution 800x600) on it, then i change to 4D1 (MW3) my FPS only 45(Resolution 800x600) is max. plz help me.

Win 7 Ultimate x64 bit/ VGA GeForce GT 540m Optimus/ Core i5 2nd/ Ram 4GB.

FPS differs from map to map..eg- maps like Liberation they reduce my fps from 100FPS to around 30FPS. But im not saying that there could be a error..

Compare your graphics settings between the two, and do adjust everything on IW5M that you did on Tekno.

My setting between Teknogods and 4D1 is same. I just don't know what happened. Could be an error?

I tried to switch to VGA card by using Nvidia control panel but it helpless

In task manager, it appears that iw5m.dat is running, not iw5mp

I just told my laptop to use the Nvidia GPU all of the time.

 

Go into NVIDIA Control Panel and find Manage 3D Settings. (Stay in the Global Settings tab, you can't set a Program Settings profile for this executable.) Right at the top you'll see a drop down for Preferred graphics processor. Select High-performance NVIDIA processor and the game will quit trying to run on an abacus.

 

I thought everyone with Optimus tech knew this?

 

In fact, after going through the posts in this thread I'm 100% sure that this will fix your problem.

When you want to go back to saving the planet and using less electricity, go back to auto-select.

That doesn't work. The Add dialog only recognizes .exe files. That's why you have to change it in Global Settings.

Then rename iw5m.dat to iw5m.exe and launch the game through iw5m.exe?

 

Setting the GPU works. I don't think renaming the .dat to .exe and bypassing the launcher works very well.
