Updater is from original aIW, still haven't deleted its files. And no, it just stops working, doesn't produce any .dmp file. First I thought it could be issue with my steam_api (modified for masterserver testing purposes), but then I looked up modules in Ollydbg, and it wasn't loaded. Still got no idea why it crashes.

Yep, I extracted raw. I had iw_25.iwd in main and deleted it.

Today I decided to install 4d1, everything went fine, but when I go to dedicated server list and press refresh list, game crashes with 'iw4m.exe has stopped working'. I own the game on steam. Does anybody know what could be the problem?

You've misunderstood him, game will only check if you own it on Steam, it won't do anything with VAC. And about DLC, NTA said he's unable to make a check on those, so if you want to be legit, you should buy it. But who wants to be legit ?
