Hi guys, After days of searching and trying to configure a zombie server, I've just about had it and I need help. I need to find the modification for AI Zombies Extreme that has the Mustang Sally grenade Launching Pistols. My sons are wanting to play on a local server with this zombie mod and I cant find many variations of the Ai2 mod but cannot get the thing to work properly and none of them seem to have the greande firing, akimbo m9 pistols. Is this a separate mod or is this just a weapon tweak? I have copied the Ai2 mod that was downloaded from another server that has the guns they wanted, but when set up and playing on the server, it seem completely different than the same mod on another server... I cant help but thin that this is a server.cfg issue? Or am I barking up the wrong tree. SO: 1: Is there a pre-configured mod for this, and if so where can i get it?, 2: If this is a config file issue, where can I find a copy of the config file to use? yes and more I've never messed with the dvars so being give and link to a guide would be useful enough for that. But some plain "set etc. etc." commands for stuff like the maxfps and the like would be great. I just want someone with some personal experience to teach me how to use the console properly. Every page I have seen so far has lists of commands that don't seem to work properly. Ex: set scr_xpscale "10" - this command caused me half an hour of hair pulling because it caused the server to repeatedly rotate the maps loading and unloading them every 3 seconds... So yes If you got the codes, I'd love to be taught by you BTW: the learn part was stupid colloquialism. I meant it to show that I am of the position that I need to be taught. Maybe it's an Australian thing or maybe I just heard it used alot by a certain group of people... but yes I understand it's supposed to be teach

Hey guys, Got my first server running now (props to LoserSM for helping me). All there is left to do is tweak the server config files so I can create some other servers such as an XP boosting server(if possible, but if not I don't mind. I've just had requests for such a server), TDM server GTNW server etc. But also need a few lag tweaking settings like the maxfps command (i forgot the exact format of the command and can't find it again.) and maybe some tickrate stuff etc. So if anyone is on the downlow, please learn me so I can get a couple of high grade servers up and running

Yeah figured it'd be that. Was just hoping I could use some kind of server reset in game without having to exit the game and then restart the console... Well anyway, server is up and running now and seems to be going well. Now off to look for some server commands for game tweaking Thanks for the help mate. REALLY appreciate it.

Sorry bout the add to the thread, but I just didn't see the point of spamming new threads for every new issue. The heading for the thread was dedicated server help and this is a config issue for a dedicated server. I figured this was the best place to post for this particular issue, and if its not, then my apologies. No need to give you the cfg, took another pass over it and found that the map rotation had the gametype setting in it for every map... n00b mistake... Anyways, other than that error, I need to know how to reset the damn server. the restart_map command fails with an unknown command error. But everywhere I go, all the console command lists show the same command to reset the server. I tried the fast_restart option but that doesn't help either.

Incidentally, I am trying to set my server correctly. but every time i start the server with a certain game type, it ALWAYS revert back to search and destroy. Can I please get some help?

don't use the localhost command mate thats for your own pc etc. use the local are net ip... 192.168.etc.etc. open cmd, type ipconfig the IP next to the IPv4 is the address you want to get it to turn up on the internet list, you need to run the update tool.

Morning guys, Spent a few hours tracing the problem over the last day. Found a bad .iwd file in the extraction process. Apparently winrar doesn't care to report when there is a minor CRC error on a single file... lol anyway, Found that when I checked the MD5 against the DLC packs MD5 after the download, it didn't match. Forced a re-check and it DL'd the missing chunk. So the error pertaining to a fatal error and the mini dump seems to be a DLC error. If it can't load the DLC then it will crash. Seems to be the same as the preview_mp_compact error... To repair i just re-extracted my DLC files over the top of the old ones and the problem was fixed Thank you guys for trying to give me a hand with it, I really appreciate it!

Thanks for the fast reply mate, Being a techie myself, I've already checked the error logs and I'm not getting any memory errors at all. I've tried cleaning the computer out (all temp files and startup programs etc.), made sure that my drives are all booting from the correct channels in the exact order they should be, RAM is in Dual channel mode with the same batch sticks in separate channels so there is definitely not a RAM channel error. Also ran the BIOS memory checking tool and got no errors either... I'm absolutely stumped. If there is anything I could have missed, please throw suggestions at me. BTW should mention that this error is occurring on 2 separate PC's: One running XP Pro SP3 Retail The other running Windows 7 Home Premium Both PC's Are completely up to date and BIOS flashed to latest stable versions etc. I maybe looking too far into this, but I can't help but think this maybe a Pagefile problem?

Hey guys, Look i understand how these errors and the complaints about them are irritating as hell, but I have done everything I can to fix an error and I can't get it fixed. It seems you guys are having the same problems with this error as well. The error is: Fatal error (0xc0000005) at 0x006bdc45. A minidump has been written to iw4m-3.0-94-20120610044847.dmp. There is no clue except for the hex bit code and I cannot find any way around it. The unofficial replacement dlls are not fixing it either. A re-install has wasted a good half hour of time and configuration of system settings has not worked either. I also reinstalled the VC++ Redist and the DirectX components and still get the same error. If you guys could help me out, I will do my best to help resolve the problem too. Thanks
