Hi guys!

This is my first plugin its simple and stupid, please dont blame me

 

Simply the plugin read a txt file and write line by line ( there is no line limitation ) what is contained in it on the bottom middle of the screen, the messages need 2 seconds to fade in and another 2 seconds to fade out and they stai on the screen for a total of 8 seconds

Typing in chat "!full" server will show you all messages contained on the txt file, typing !suicide, obviously you will kill you-self ( I know this is not related to my plugin but it can be usefull! ) 8-)

LittleMessages v1.0

• Read a txt file and print on screen on the bottom each line of the file, it change each 8 Seconds, font size 1.5

• The rotating message now is more customizable( Time and position( through X, Y ))
  
• Commands are now hidden in the chat! They now start all with "//" and not with "!"
  
• Added "//cmdlist" command. That show all commands avaiable
  
• Added "//PM" command. That allow players to send private message to other players. (Syntax: //PM [recipient] [text]
  
• Better full message layout (Now it is printed line by line in the center)
  
• Added !NAME! "tag". This means that if you write !NAME! on the file, in game it will be automatically replaced with the name of the player that is reading the message!
  
• Added welcome message! All lines that start with !WLC! on the txt file will be printed the first time you spawned! (obviously without !WLC! in front of them!)

Nice script, works well

It could use an update with the option to set the fade-in, on-screen, and fade-out times on the txt (seems too much time to have a message on screen while playing)

Font size could also be useful.

At a later time, maybe you could think of a way to insert images among the text. Like:

Welcome to [cardicon_sniper.iwi] server!

I'm pretty sure it's from the Source itself you can do it.

The last part is not possible yet I believe. There is no way to hide chat commands, if you found one though please tell me .

try prefixing the command with a /, messages starting with / will be hidden

Like NTA says, when you type this simble / in chat the message will be hidden and the game will lost first character. My plugin detects words like /suicide /cmdlist, but in game you have to type //suicide //cmdlist
