Hello guys, i play 4d1 through the legit steam version of the game, and i decided to create my own config by tweaking the scoreboard and adding some more cmds (fov, r_fog 0, r_normal 0) for fps boost and improved gameplay (i did all that through console commands). The problem is every time i close the game, all these tweaks are gone and i have to retype them all over again. So my question is, can i do something to make these changes permanent, while still playing through the legit version of the game? Thanks in advance.

no these commands can be changed by the user (which is good, no more fog or shitty effects all over the map). Although some commands like fx_draw 0 should be protected because with just this command you can see clearly through smokes LOL

you didnt' get my point, locking some commands PREVENT people from getting an anfair advantage over others. fx_enable 0 disables muzzle flash and smokescreen, and this command is free to change for any user. So is a lot of other unlocked commanads, i'm too bored to tell them all atm.

make a cfg file in your /main/ folder.

name it something like random.cfg (doesn't really matter)

go in your players folder, open your config_mp.cfg (this is mw3, right?) and at the bottom add

' bind F1 "exec random.cfg" ' (or whatever you called your cfg file.) and just press F1 when you want to execute it.
