IW5M not working on Killer 2100 Network Card

Featured Replies

Опубликовано:

i have confirmed that if there is bigfoot killer 2100 network card drivers on the system, the iw5m server fails to launch. the problem is with the drivers and not the card.

the server when started gets stuck at connecting to online services...

but if i uninstall the drivers and use a the inbuilt lan the server runs fine.

i have the latest drivers running. but still it doesnt help. so could some1 help with a work around or an update?

btw

i run win server 2008 x64

no ports blocked on my net

I've been looking at that card's features, and my conclusion is that it isn't a card suitable for a windows server machine. I run a windows server 2008r2 on another machine, and my first concern there is system stability. Therefore, I would never use a driver that yould try to manage the connections for me.

You are quite aware of the applications that you run on that machine. You don't need an application to tell you wich should run there and wich not. That will only bring you problems, as it's been happening.

So, my advice here is for you to use built-in LAN driver, to avoid having your traffic filtered by that software.

NTA's point being that he can't possibly test the game's compatibility with all the cards unless someone decides to give him those.

Then how do you expect NTA to test it?
