What is the goal of IW5M?

The goal of IW5M is to offer a proper online-enabled experience for IW5, featuring well-familiar features such as friends lists, server-side statistics, semi-limited modification support, the upcoming TNet service and downloadable content support.

 

Why IW5M when there's other projects?

The only other project I can think of doesn't offer any modification support by itself, nor does it offer addon MP maps as far as I'm aware.

 

When will IW5M be released?

what's next alter blackops 2?nta is full of surprises but black ops 2 will have ranked dedis and probobly mod support so i dont think that it needs modification.

well he made intermw3 with dlc support and server list, i think he is modifying the code to give support with dlc 2 and friend list

I'm intending on keeping matchmaking in with only the Face Off maps.

In my opinion there is no need for matchmaking. Better don't waste your time on matchmaking which is laggy and easy to hack (for host). Matchmaking is a console feature, PC players don't need it.

aRev have both the alterMW3 and interMW3 sources; if they wanted to release it, they could have looong ago.

Since we want to keep activision off us, y not just enable steam check.

 

And in order to keep the number of people playing high.. y not just

some anonymous person release a crack for iw5.

it wont be NTA's responsibility which will prevent us from getting sued again.
