Today I'm putting this topic for discussion, and to listen to the community and admins approach on this.

 

As I've stated in some threads, in my humble experience, "x" is more a source of cheaters than a source of legit players, and, lurking various websites, serious players have been switching to 4D1 since it's very beginning...

 

Also, I know that every server can configure their files to keep them away, but most of them don't know/ don't do it... Lately I've been in servers where a couple admins had went manually kick steam's, unnamed, namehere's, !votekick bugs, and so on.

 

Also 2: Don't tell me to turn off legacy servers, I got them permanently shut down, but it's pointless if "x" cheaters can join 4D1 servers just like that .__.

 

So, let the community know your opinion!

 

(I know threads regarding "x" are forbidden, but for me, this is relevant to our community)

Implying everyone can play on WZ servers with reasonable pings.

 

Consider this as an opinion of a player rather than that of staff, but yeah, synthesis is killing the game.

again, enough people will only run their servers using iw4m if legacy players can play - cyberthug's servers for one.

And they will come back to 4d1 as fast as they can due to no anti-cheat.

problem with WZ......i have 200 ping(lowest)...and i doubt im the only one with ping around there on those servers

Then you never tested legacy client one time...

You can join every 4d1 Server you want. But 4d1 Client is better. Just tested for comparison.

NTA the community is speaking to you they bring hackers a easy way to do their thing and the legit players suffer for it . Sever the connection it's the best but if that is out of the question maybe you should make it an option but not the default. Make the servers reject X players by default and make the server owner make a choice weather he wants it or not .

We all want it, well the majority of us do. But it's up to NTA.

I've lurked for some time around various server websites, and the tendency is to:

1. Move their servers to 4D1, and

2. Encourage players to come to 4D1: more stability, aCI, servers not going down randomly, and the fact that this is the legit heir to alterIW, while "x" was, is and will always be a mere copypasta of what boss NTA does.

Any serious server provider would just move to 4D1 (as NRNS and many others did)... unless it belongs to some cheater clan (IMO)

But why not make 4D1 incompatible with Legacy Servers? Change the version or something.
