So, I used to play arev. But i got tired of all the crashing and it was a very bad copy of aIW. So i tried to install 4d1 but it still opened arev. So could any1 tell me what files do i have to delete in order to play the 4d1 iw4m?

doesnt work it just opens arev again and btw i didnt even have to do any of the steps exept download the updater everything else was ok.

do you start the game by 'Play IW4M' in start menu?

i started it from laucnhiw4m.exe ill try soon if that works

If you have the game legit on Steam go to:

MW2 Multiplayer > Right Click > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game cache.

It should say Validating Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer for a while, this will delete all the AlterRev, 4D1 and any unoriginal files in your Modern Warfare 2 folder then just try installing 4D1 again.
