so the strange issue im having is

 

i have both the arev client and the 4d1 client

 

i run them in seperate folders to avoid confilction

 

BUT on my new server i cannot connect via my 4d1 client

 

but can still connect using the arev legacy client

 

any idea what could be causing this :S

its running the 4d1 server files

yet i cant connect with the 4d1 client

 

im extreamly confused and my other server administrator isnt available atm

 

so im hoping to get this fixed

 

ive also had friends test it with their 4d1 clients and nobody can connect

 

im useing the same server config i was using b4 and i could connect then :S

 

i have no idea what the issue might be

 

perhaps loading the wrong server config?

 

as we have more than one to support mods and such

so you using rev M2 client?

I have a feeling that your server installation has some legacy files leftovers...

im just a little confused as to why i could connect when running on a friends PC

but cant now when moved to a server :S

 

i always use iw4m aka 4d1 client i just have the rev clients there as a back up just incase of master server down time so i can still play with my clan

this ensures i have a 99.9% uptime

 

the a rev np server is down as always

 

their legacy client still works however

 

ill be sure to go through our files and double cheak there are no legacy files laying around

 

and if it doesnt help ill give the other admin a call and get him to RDP to find the issue

ok so i re-ran iw4m_updater

still cant connect via 4d1 client

we have cheaked double cheaked and tripple cheaked everything :S

 

i am so extreamly confused tbh

 

perhaps corupted files

 

exactly the same files run fine on a home hosted server

so perhaps a completly fresh install?

still no luck

now to reset the configs and reconfig b3

nothing is working

completely overhauled the configs

every single file is completly fresh

 

have you heard of this happening to any other serveers?

 

its sending a heartbeat to the master server

 

but 4d1 clients still cant connect

 

even tryed disabling impure client detection

still didnt work

I would like to go there over teamviewer and find the problem. There must be some mess up, because that never happened on any server so far.
