Ok imagine i'm playing, hit some kind of clip with the intervention on say Highrise in a public lobby. Is it AT ALL possible to have an M40 show up as the model in the demo? Not for playing just for recording? Just was wondering.

I would add oilrig as dependency to the mp_highrise, then through weapon files I would rename m40 to cheytac(fmj_xmags)_mp so the stats, anims and model would get swapped.

Replace the iw4m.dll in %localappdata%/iw4m

Put the weapon files in m2demo/weapons/mp

Should work on every Base+DLC1 map.

It will replace intervention and intervention+fmj. It will look and behave as m40a3.

(I know this wasn't directed towards me :D) But, this is sick. For the W1200 it works too. All you have to do is copy winchester1200 and rename it to spas12_mp :D. Thanks for putting this together. :)

Yeah... Since winchester files are in oilrig.ff too

 

Rename cheytac_mp to cheytac_fmj_xmags_mp so it will work on isnipe demos.

Sorry for the bit of a gravedig but I keep getting this error while trying to watch demos:

 

No viewmodel set for player 0 for 'cheytac_fmj_mp' in 'right' hand. Set viewmodel hands in script or weapon settings.

 

Help please?

 

P.S. Can only get m40 to show in devmap, Can't get it to work with extended mags at all

Yes i did put the dll in the correct folder. M40 works fine on terminal, crash, scrapyard (only ones i've tested. didn't work on vacant though but i checked the dll and saw vacant wasn't listed no idea how to fix that) in devmap. If i load any time of demo or go to a public server its spits out that error as soon as i select my intervention class.

 

Also i tried m40 on vacant and the model wouldn't show so i checked the iw4m.dll and vacant wasn't in the file like the other maps were.

well the .dll and weapon files are only for demos and private matches. To play normally change the .dll to original and rename /weapons folder to /notweapons or so. If you want to use it on vacant too, open up the .dll with HxD or so and change for example mp_highrise to mp_vacant
